I went to a Buddhist temple thing in Hawaii it was comfy as frick and I felt peaceful even though there were hundreds of other fat American tourists walking around. I honestly felt like I could have just sat there doing nothing all day

Which island? I'd like to visit one, but I think the closest I have around here is a japanese garden. I never saw anything like that when I was in Hawaii but that was only on the big island

Byodo In Temple in Honolulu. It’s pretty famous I think and crowded. I feel like you might get a better experience going to a smaller temple that isn’t a tourist destination spot

Yeah it’s super pretty. If I ever got the chance to go again I’d try to go early in the morning to hopefully escape the crowds
