Meditations by Marcus Aurelius (I read 5 pages and called it a day and haven't opened it since 2016)
If on a Winter's Night a Traveler by Italo Calvino (/lit/ meme book I kinda like)

I bought many books I never read (but I still may read some of them in the future). For instance, I own an illustrated hardcover edition of LOTR in english, I bought it just because it was pretty, but I never read it so far. I also bought Purgatorio and Paradiso as a collection, but so far I only finsihed Inferno.

i try to keep picture books as coffee table books. so i have The World of Ice and Fire, all the Megg Mogg and Owl collections, a graphic novel my friend did the art for, and a book identifying regional plants sitting out for people to look at.
as for what I pretend to read I have now purchased My Struggle 1 by Knaausgard twice lmao. the second copy went in the little free library down the street when i got home and realized i had already owned one for like a year and had yet to pick it up.
