Roger Zelazny, Jack Vance and Gene Wolfe- are they any good?

I've been recommended Dying Earth by a friend of mine who's taste I trust.

Its been years but I remember enjoying most of Zelazny's Amber series

Zelazny is Kilgore Trout irl. His ideas are good but his stories are not. In some part of his books his prowess as a writer really comes through but it never really adds anything because most of his prose is pulpy.
