Bookclub voting Thread

I’m posting one hour earlier because I’m hanging out early this Saturday.

There were too many tied books with 6 upmarseys, so I ended up peaking just 4 instead of 5.

The nominees are

Kazuo Ishiguro

John Williams

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra

Voting closes by 19:00 E.T. Tomorrow, by them the most voted one will be the next bookclub selection. Discussion threads on the new book will begin in a TBD date in august as many haven’t finished Master and Margarita yet.

Voters vote "yes" or "no" on each option. The option with the most yes's wins. It's good for elections with many candidates because it selects the candidate with the widest approval instead of the candidate with a small core of devotees.

Compare to, say, Latin American Presidential elections.

We could have a second round with rhe two most upmarseyd ones, that’s the LATAM way.

That being said, I think you shouldn't remake this election. Just something to consider for next time.
