I'm feeling nostalgic this morning, so, what books did you read as a kid that you loved?
Here's mine:
I picked this up when I was 10 or 11 and I can confidently say that this is what made me want to be an author when I grew up
I also was read the little house on the prairie books, but we only got to book 4 as a class, so I'm reading them again.

Did anyone else have a traumatic experience in elementary school where they read Where the Red Fern Grows as a class together?
I just remember that they said coon a lot and that towards the end everyone including the teacher was an absolute mess
Edit: I also remember reading Escaping the Giant Wave, basically a story about a tween going on vacation with his family to the Northeast and going through an earthquake and tsunami, I literally binged it in a single day

I read that book for a summer assignment and God darn was that a good book. That shit had me crying at the end
