Redditors (male) don't read because men in general don't read, so they make references to the “reddit approved canon”, stuff like hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and terry pratchet, or assigned high school literature. Redditors (female) are mostly booktok porn addicts, and exclusively read the worst sophomoric shit like CoHo and Madeline miller.
