I've only read The Name of the Rose by him (
). Why don't you think SaGN was good? It's up there with East of Eden as one of my all time favorite American novels but admittedly I read it a decade ago so might have a different reaction now.

and misread your statement but agree. I'm not sure which, if any, 20th century satire will have a lasting legacy beyond Pynchon and Catch 22.
