When I was in middle school our very lib/left teacher said that Carrol was libertarian as matter of factly as if it were written in the textbook we were studying. She mentioned him alongside Edgar Allen Poe for marrying his 13yo cousin. She said that its messed up that the school assigns books by these people, butt leaves out the lurid truth about the authors. She was a crazy teacher, butt honest.

I had a high school lit teacher who was a crazy cat lady and she said pretty much exactly this. Luckily, she was still a genuine literature lover and was able to separate art from the artist.

Lewis Caroll was absolutely a libertarian (βœΏβ—”_β—”)❗. My grandad had an antique book with all the letters he sent to little girls in an attempt to seduce them (βœΏβ— β€Ώβ— )πŸ“œ.
