I think the only bit I liked from Neil Gaiman at all was in Sandman where the moon needs a woman's sacrifice or something and some
tries to be the one to do it but they get checked because they can't menstruate.
In hindsight that's such a fuzzy memory that I could just be misremembering. But I hope it's true.
