Lpt of their books arent half price anymore. There was a 10.50$ msrp paperback of The History Pelopensian war which was beat up as heck and like a decade old. HPB was selling it for 9.99$ :marseyschizotwitch:

They also massively cut what they offer in terms of buybacks. I had a good hustle during college where I'd go to estate sales and offer to buy every book that didn't get sold by the end of the weekend for like $30, then could reliably take several hundred I'd inevitably end up with to HPB and flip them for $400-600. Not bad pocket money for being willing to lift heavy book crates for two hours on a Sunday. This was at their DFW flagship, which has the largest selection and is well worth a visit.

Now they're offering like 15 cents for good printings of coffee table books (the best moneymaker you can get from estate sales) and then relisting them for $50 dollars each. Not worth it at all.
