Honestly, both the Spanish from Spain (Spain has many accents, similar to England) and the Portuguese from Portugal sound terrible. The Standard Mexico accent is an improvement.
The most elegant and poshy sounding Portuguese is the Paulistano accent (from the city of Sรฃo Paulo).
Unpopular opinion, but I like the Rio-Platense accent/"dialect".
