To be clear, I welcome the end of male dominance in literature. Men ruled the roost for far too long, too often at the expense of great women writers who ought to have been read instead. I also don't think that men deserve to be better represented in literary fiction; they don't suffer from the same kind of prejudice that women have long endured. Furthermore, young men should be reading Sally Rooney and Elena Ferrante. Male readers don't need to be paired with male writers.

We must force people to read books from female authors in the name of equality. Any divergence in outcomes is prima facie evidence of discrimination. Please ignore that this industry is currently dominated by women, both on the administrative side and on the consumer side.

there's also the aspect of womxn dominating primary education which has nothing to do with education standards slipping and boys specifically falling behind in reading. Womxn meanehile have higher odds of grsduating highschool, college and grad school, therefore theyre more likely to be avid readers compared to men who are too busy working on cars or selling crack to make a living so theyre not reading as much in their free time.

Please also ignore that interest and sales have plummeted the moment women took over all parts of it, and if you are gonna nootice please nootice that this shows an inherent anti-women bias in society, and has nothing too do with the fact that male socialization in general leads too more interesting lives too talk about along with men being forced too take various perspectives into account when interacting with society might make them better at representing the perspectives of multiple characters in a unique manner.

Men are actively shamed for not having empathy or not being able too understand other perspectives while the pressures too be able too "gently lead with high empathy" are not as great for women and children even in the more egalitarian societies today.
