I finished the first book I ever pre-ordered this week, Savage by Keith C Blackmore. It was pretty neat, a group of mercenaries end up on an island with savage natives and are decimated and split up and only a few survive. After that I started his zombie series, Mountain Man, and again it's been pretty easy reading, lowbrow silly stuff but fun.
