Yes, forcing alphabet to sell their entire company to a Chinese company is very different from telling companies you dont want doing business in your country they can't do business in your country.
Also China have no illusions about being some kind of free market, meanwhile the US does, so only the US are acting like hypocrites.

They never ever ever force them to sell, they simply say "here is what we require of you if you want to do business in our country" and if they dont follow their guidelines they just say "alright well then we dont want you to do business in our country"
