I was under the impression that the artist wrote their own stuff and did their own art but I might be wrong. I know they initially did a lot more art and less writing but felt trapped in that role and started writing more stories instead, but I didn't think they outsourced the art part.

No all the art is outsourced. If you look at their portfolio you'll realize it's just a bunch of obscure webcomics with coomeriffic flair to them. As far as I can tell they literally never made any art.

It's kind of odd if you think about it. Either their talent in writing coomer-tier memes is that good that artists want to work for the guy, or he's just somehow made it work despite literally any other bum on the street being able to write these. I think it's probably the latter since this guy got conned into giving the samurai buyer people his passport or something.

I vaguely remember him being fed up with the cutesy jokey stories he wrote and wanted to make longer and more dramatic ones. I think he still did his own art back then and felt stuck in a particular style. I wouldn't call his longer and sadder stories pornographic or sexy or anything though. Some are pretty touching, at least to me. I liked the switch/stadia one for example, despite them being cute anime girls.

I can't take any shit serious when it's about large branded items and anime girls. It's cute sure but it's ultimately just dumb because of the fact that both are soiproducts created to cater to soiym and not some higher ideal like competitive ejaculation and gooning.
