Song is OK, but vocalist never learned how to sing. (Should this be deliberate: why so cramped?)

i adore it. i think most of the songs that i like are sang (sung?) by people who can't sing. there's no autotune, its just emotion BIPOC, cant you feel?

I understand that this is raw, and can understand that as quality (plus no autotune as a feature!), but to my experience this vocalist should explore singing coaching, especially about lung volume and and opening up ones voice.,
