I have been using the ATm30x for the last 3 years, however the cords have become frayed and jitters have creeped in. Thinking of upgrading but don't know which is better.
I will never use a wireless headphone(Quality deteriorates on lossless streaming). And never ever earphones (hurts my ears). So I have zoned in on these two options.
I use the Apple USB-C to 3.5mm as it has a built in somewhat pretty decent DAC to use with my iPad and phone.

https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-sennheiser-hd6xx if you don't mind increasing your budget (or waiting for a sale) these are great. Just make sure the dac can drive them, idk how much power the Apple dongle has.
Edit: keep in mind each model can be different in terms of style, no one size fits all with headphones. Check out AKG as well, they help round out the trifecta of good mid range brands.
