Been talking about SPOON lately, so here's a great SPOON song // LINES IN THE SUIT

oh you will NEVER get me to tell you that SERIES OF SNEAKS is a bad album. it w3as an AWESOME album made under a series of ...sneaks. i love that album and love METAL DETEKTOR more than you know (or maybe you do; i think it influenced a lot of bands)

1020AM when will i ever see you again?

for me though? the most haunting song of GIRLS CAN TELL is "Chicago At Night" and it's because it's so dark and mysterious but really just makes me think there's something i missed in all that came before because IT'S JUST A CONTINUATION OF THAT STYLE.

EDIT -- i'm drunk, sorry, but chicago at night bugs me because whne you listen it's the culmination of the style of that album AND the lyrics suggest YOU MISSED SOMETHING. like you should have paid more attention. like an easter egg, and probably there is none, but it's a song that makes me want to just go right back and play it back again from the start.

THAT IS A GREAT ALBUM.

I WALK FORTY SIX BLOCKS YOU BEEN PUTTING IT OFF // meat in my arms steel in my teeth; the whole album is incredible. i consider this SPOON's version of RADIOHEAD's "THE BENDS" because they both went in a crazy direction after. spoon just didn't LEAP like radiohead did; they just took deliberate and half steps that were equally rewarding in my mind and showed incredible growthj

also, JUNE'S FOREIGN SPELL is the best fricking song on that album EVEN COUNTING metal.

i have never seen this one and i love it SO MUCH

i feel so bad for her and that last animated sad look. i don't know who does the majority of these, but they MUST work in advertising because they're brilliant.
