More like a Zillenial due to early internet exposure which made me prefer some boomer Millennial ways...like manually scouting out music.
I got back and forth if I should install tiktok. It seems like a bit of a time sink for me when I already have plenty of websites for that (rDrama, HN, Reddit, etc.)

Im an early zoomer too
I get that. Most people who use tiktok seem to be on it for >10 a week which is too of a time commitment for me I'd rather be more productive than just rotting away while mindlessly scrolling.
But after making a tiktok account and your algorithm is made, you can find a lot of content that you like. Especially for music I've found a ton of songs and playlists for genres that I like and would have never found otherwise. If manage your time well enough you wont spend too much time. I max out at like 1 to 2 hours a week if even that

I have never found a good band through tiktok in itself, band ads usually suck and core-core edits are basic asf.
