That's part of why through the wire is still one of his best, the swollen mouth slur rapping.

But yeah, he's one of the most prolific producers of the last decade or so.

It's about the depth and breadth of his work over that time.

It's not like he just produced one good album with some other slop interspersed, it's good on all of them.

And the production on this song is phenomenal, which is why I posted it.

There's a lot of people who fall into this category who are good producers but not fantastic rappers.

Dr Dre is prob the most famous, and it was also a part of wu tang where like rza made beats and then had other members rap over it.

But as for why he's genius or w/e idk. Maybe other better producers exist but it's the totality of everything. Similar to Taylor Swift tbh.

It's the catalogue of work imo that makes someone exceptional, and Kanye has that catalogue.
