Look around you, it’s just bound to make you embarrassed. There are also another ones from the christian era.
For me these lyrics or songs sound deeply conservative, nationalist and fundamentalist. Personally, they annoy me when I listen to them because it is a very explicit political message (which I do not share).

Have not thought about the Dylan lyrics but "If you go carryin' pictures of Chairman Mao you ain't gonna make it with anyone anyhow" possibly strangely underrated as all-time (???) wisdom. "Stop speaking cringe bro"--John Lennon. All the left's problems since 2014 are from cringe we associate with the Internet, but it's fascinating how it goes back to the 1970s and maybe even Weimar, or the French Revolution (lefties being active, effective propagandists against themselves.)
