For those who don’t understand the references I made (scheuer, Kent) look up “hey sandy” lyrics or don’t, I’ll just post them below. This was a cover song about the Kent state massacre in which Sandy Scheuer, along with some others, were killed by state militia.

Edit - to be clear, the original writer of this song and Polaris WAS NOT APPROVING of the shooting: this was a very cynical song. It’s bathed in beauty but is intended to tell people about what happened. Kind of like how Pete and Pete as a show was pretty subversive, they just did it the old school way and twitter didnt exist to frick everything up
