Technically true but it's still a misallocation of resources taken from productive people (via taxes or inflation or both) who would also put that money into the economy except they would spend it on more useful things than financially incompetent r-slurs would
The argument I can sort of agree with is if it keeps the dindus and reddit tankies from chimping out and causing a billion dollars worth of property damage in which case you could argue an amount up to that number worth of gibs might be worth it
