Iranians aren't Arabs, and the Arab states don't have any interest in going to war with Israel. They pay lip service to Palestinian causes, but most of them have terrible historical experiences with taking in Palestinian refugees.

Iran can only act through its proxies unless it plans to start lobbing long range missiles at Israel.

Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi want nothing to do with Palestinians chimping out. Syria is recovering from a decade of civil war, Iraq isn't going to get involved, and Turkey certainly isn't. That leaves Lebanon which will just let Hezbollah do its thing without any pushback. I doubt Hezbollah will do anything more than rocket/mortar attacks and some small scale border raids.

Iran wanted to disrupt Israeli-Saudi negotiations at least temporarily, and they seem to have achieved their objective. The Palestinians are just expendable pawns as usual.

Does this accomplish anything beyond just delaying development of the Israel-Saudi relationship?
