They complained about it endlessly, then Musk gave them something to actually complain about but no one cared by that point. The terminally online screeching about the evils of Xitter loses impact when it comes from people still posting there.
Xitter losing relevancy is a good thing. Elon Musk running it into the ground is an even better outcome than him improving it. Still, anything that enrages Xitter addicts is generally good, and at the very least Community Notes are great. Everything else just makes more of a shitshow I have no personal stake in, so bring it on.
