Yeah, imagine the world's second biggest economy having a permanent seat on the Security Council. However, these things were doled out to the 'winners' of WW2, not because of economic size in the future. That's why Bongistan is still there.

Realize the allies were literally calling themselves the United Nations during the war, by some definition WW2 was a war of one organization coming to conquer and "rule" the world, at least in the same way the HRE "ruled" Germany post 30 year's war
