This is bad for chuds, they'll get a small win to own the libs but this is bad for speech

They used academic freedom extremely selectively but losing more of it won't help. The guys behind the Penn firing wrote a whole guidebook on banning hate speech on campus and was pushing the board to adopt it...and that was a month before Oct 7

Nah, this is the covid kids education thing all over again. People on a large scale, especially after these hearings, are starting to realize that college is the giant scam that it is.

Billions in donations is just the tip of the iceberg. The dream would be if application numbers start dropping and major employers stop requiring college degrees for positions. Bud light, target and marvel proved it is possible for popular things to be shitty enough that people start noticing. The next year should be a wild ride.

College is useful when you have that student who is coming to all the classes and stays back to work with the teacher.

Maybe, but I don't think you can really blame rightoids for becoming so cynical about academia and the experts/chattering class that they're cheering on every massive L these people take. The leftoids couldn't have done a better job of convincing rightoids that there isn't anything to lose by burning all the institutions to the ground if they tried.
