There was never a "two-state solution", only a Palestinian Versailles in which they wouldn't be able to have a military, they wouldn't have control over their land borders, their airspace, no right of return, continuation of Jewish settlements in the West Bank. They were offered "less than a state", Yitzhak Rabin's own words.
