That's accurate and I understand you. I have trouble waffling back and forth with it myself, but things aren't ever as bad as they seem and it does feel like the crazy is starting to get checked, like normal people are moving away from extremes.

The current campus extremism has a very short shelf life and college isn't the only way.
I don't think there's going to be any major messy race revolution, but I think DEI and associated nonsense will be quietly pared back aver the next ten years.

Yeah many went into trades school, family business, or did some sort of entrepreneurship.
It does seem like DEI is running its course. So many profs are seeing the problem of students not caring or using mental illness not to complete their assignments

It feels like the "pendulum swing" when it comes to the Overton Window, the extreme edges of it are always really noticable. So whatever the next societal grifts are they'll LOOK like what people wanted when the pendulum was at an extreme.
I think life becomes a lot less confusing when you identify extremes, where they come from, and avoid them.
