The problem is US playing the good boi card and law abiding card so politically wise it would been smarter to just ignore it instead of bitching about sanctions especially if US is not part of this organisation. Like does he really need to go to Spain or Denmark ?
Neighbor is going to get kicked next election. So him being put on that list is even good in long time for relationship with global south.

The US vehemently hates the ICC. So much so that Congress has pre-authorized kinetic force against them. But we do acknowledge they have a place in enforcing international law in countries without a functioning judiciary.
