So another war crime.

You mean like r*pe, hostage taking, killing prisoners, targeting non-combatants ect?

If Hamas doesn't play by the rules why should Israel?

So what you're saying is Israel is on the same level of Hamas? Well, I can understand that. I just don't understand why I'm paying for it.

1. Absolutely not and it's not even remotely close. War crimes happen everywhere, with every armed force that has ever been in a conflict and likely every armed force that will ever be. How we judge states is by how the crimes are handled. Israel as a state publicly condemns, prosecutes, and jails their war criminals. Hamas applauds theirs. I know you're not an r-slur... so it's hard to imagine this concept truly goes over your head yet here you are.

2. Because it's worth it

They did in the 1980s. That's why it's so disturbing to see how much it's changed.

I actually don't know if there's any argument that Israel's indictment rates for its war criminals has fallen, nor how they compare to the USA (as an example). Do you? Either way this is moving the goalposts.

Not only do investigations and indictments happen to this day, but "war crimes" are not IDF policy.

The Israel-Hamas conflation is truly toddler brained commie tier r-sluration.

how they compare to the USA

Over several years in the entire country of Iraq we didn't blow up anywhere near a million people's homes. There weren't people starving. It's totally fricking ludicrous to compare the two.

The Israel-Hamas conflation

I'm not the one who made it. :marseyshrug: I was just pointing out that if you say "it's okay for us to do X because Hamas did it first" then you don't get to say you're so much better.

I'm talking about war crime indictment rates, not making comparisons to the situation on the ground. And by the way I don't even understand what you're trying to imply. The USA did commit many war crimes in Iraq. The question I'm asking is, for the US military what is the rate at which war crimes were reported, investigated and ultimately successfully prosecuted and how does that compare to Israel? If you don't have the answer to this question then you don't have any frame of reference when you judge the IDFs conduct as "disturbing".

I'm not the one who made it.

friendly

More than Kuwait? :marseysurejan:

They've got a very weird and complex relationship with the US and it's not all friendly. Like believing that we're all going to suddenly at any moment genocide all the Jews in the country. Maybe you don't, but personally, I find that a little insulting. :marseyshrug:

Is this "legal"? I don't care.

Is this a smart move by the Israelis? NO. Maybe if they think the building is empty of enemy combatants, but even then, what's the point? If there are Hamas members inside the building, the Israelis have just lost two prisoners. If there are booby traps inside, the prisoners will just squeal about those when you first threaten to send them in.

Was the drone following the two prisoners fitted with an explosive that the Israelis could detonate if they try to warn any enemy combatants? Maybe then?

Once again everyone in the Middle East is proven to be r-slurred.
