Good thing he didn't last long then, motherlover!
Starting to think this /u/MightyMoerphin guy might know what he's talking about.

"killing our entire senior command structure is fricking just their excuse to for bombing us!"
Someone chimes in with a fricking flicker of reason, but is fricking quickly swatted down by another user. Of course, Jews only manage to ever kill Hezb leadership by accident while carpet bombing the fricking entire city to the fricking ground.
Anyway that's all I got for now. Glory to Israel

Different branches of government.
Shin bet was responsible to the intelligence failure of Oct 7 and Mossad is responsible for the recent successful foreign intelligence ops

I'm still doubtful that mossad still wasn't aware. I doubt this would ever come to light, but I think it's plausible they knew about the attack prior and let it happen to initiate everything that's occurred over the past year. Very much a "go ahead, hit me b-word"

Pretty much that Mossad was aware, although it's still Shin Bet's job (which they fricked royally). Add to that that the Israeli security complex has been laser-focused on Israel's North and the West Bank, with the latter thanks to massive influence from Smotrich and Ben-Gvir.

It's one thing to be aware, but intelligence agencies probably have tons of tip-offs about potential attacks coming in. It's probably really hard to sift through the noise even if you're Mossad.
Considering that Hamas likely didn't even notify Iran and Hezbollah they probably did manage to hide a lot of details from outsiders. Hezbollah was completely unprepared for this fight, and honestly Hamas deserves a lot of the blame.

Yeah, Israeli intelligence had lots of tip-offs for months, if not years, from their moles in Gaza and agenices in Egypt and Jordan. Like how in America received tip-offs about the 9/11 attacks for years from just about everybody.
Also forgotten about the Oct. 7 attacks is that it was not just Hamas that participated. They spearheaded the operation, but pretty much every militant group operating in the Gaza Strip joined in, along with randos tagging along. This partially explains the sheer brutality via footage broadcasted live. Hamas had every incentive to just simply take Israelis and others alive as hostages, to be used as bargaining chips in any negotiation. The other militants, on the other hand, had no incentive, to begin with. Unfortunately, for all of them, Netanyahu and co. were not that interested in the hostages primarily and immediately pursued war both to cover their asses and to cripple militancy greatly.

I think that's possible, but only in the sense that they expected some kind of attack but had no idea it would be so bad. Hamas didn't have a great track record of actually inflicting any damage on Israel except through suicide bombings before Oct 7 so it's understandable that the Israelis expected a very weak attack that they could use as a pretext for doing whatever they wanted.

They had quite a bit of warning but the people running things didn't want to hear it. Military and intelligence leaders and especially Bibi and the politicians. And yet somehow Unit 8200 got scapegoated for it.
