She commented saying “tragedy + time = comedy”
Wow, she doesn’t even know how to apologise. So arrogant ! Just ban her from coming to Malaysia already.
I don’t think she apologise. And she even said this:
I’m not sure if time passing is the only thing that makes a joke acceptable. Europeans making holocaust jokes aimed at insulting jewish people is very distasteful but if you ever visit Israel and meet with local Jewish people holy shit do they have a lot of jokes about ovens or what. Seriously.
Jocelyn isn’t making a joke about a tragedy about something awful that happened to her own nation and people a long time ago in the past, she’s making a “joke” about another country’s tragedy that happened relatively recently twice and saying they suck because of it whilst punching down. Her neighbour country of all places. It’s quite vile actually. Self-deprecation is funny, gloating is not.
look at her facial expression - she has genuine hate for this country
and her jokes are unfunny. when a joke is not funny this turns straight to a direct insult and hate speech
she sucks

Hmm. Reminds me of another Singaporean comedian who touched on the same Malaysia vs Singapore topic. I forgot the name, the bit was about how toll attendants in Malaysia were incompetent (“akshually arh bro” if you guys heard of it before) and it was hilarious af.
I think no topic is off limits in comedy, but it should have been funnier lol. This seems more mean spirited than funny. Frick you buttholes is not a punchline lol
So making joke about people died/gone missing in an air plane crash is a thing now?
There is limit to joke bro. That’s why there’s someone getting killed because of their dirty mouth.
Hope everyone around you die in funny ways because that’s where you draw the line for joke anyway

First world country. Third world mentality.
You love to see it

The "punch up, not down" is a bunch of bullshit memed by redditors and r-slurs. Comedians should punch everyone, violently.

Since the plane was never found, its reasonable to assume it is still in the air, making any joke about it by definition an act of punching up!
