I mean I eat chicken soup if I have a cold but it's never advertised as “Boosts Immunity”

yeah lol because they brew the soup with traditional chinese medicinal herbs that purport to have those effects
they put a picture of the herbs used beside the soup too

Some people swear by them but the way traditional chinese medicine works is by fixing the root cause of a symptom, so like for a headache they would try to find out what's causing the headache and fix it with medicine and shit but it would be a much longer process as compared to western medicine where it's usually a quick fix taking a painkiller, and most people in modern societies would prefer a quick fix so it's probably not very popular with non-chinese people
but honestly i don't know much about the medicine part but the acupuncture and stuff like that helped a lot when i got injured in the past lol but you'd really need to find a skilled doctor which can be tricky
