Do you actually think we as a society should be more accepting of trans people? : r/SingaporeRaw

No hate is intended. Just want to honestly know why people think differently.

From the replies here, you guys seem to think "If it doesnt hurt anyone, what's the harm?" But do you not see the problem with that? Firstly, the point most people make when being critical of lgbt isnt that they hurt people (even though some hurt is caused, which I'll get to), its the fact that it causes moral decadence and degeneracy. Men are supposed to be masculine, not dressing up as girls. This continued acceptance and normalization of sexual deviance and degeneracy is gonna have us end up going down like America. Next, you're gonna transition the kids and have drag teaching kindergarten.

Furthermore, acting like you can call yourself a woman because you dress up like girls/take hormones/physically distort your body physiology is an affront to womanhood. Women are able to bear children (Negating environmental factors or rare genetic factors causing them to be physically unable to). Men aren't. Women have periods. Men don't. The list goes on. They have such a wide range of problems they face exclusive to them, and are so different from the other gender, that pretending like you can just "transition" and be a woman is a mockery to all troubles they face.

Saying that this trans/lgbt movement does no harm is also wrong. Other than the above, it causes physical and psychological harm to children, who get brainwashed. Some kids who don't really know what they're doing may think they are boys when they are girls for instance, since they seem to like the same toys boys do. With the acceptance/normalization of transgender care/treatment, access to such treatment may become more widespread. They may, without even understanding or having maturity of what their actions entail, permanently mutilate their bodies in an attempt to fit in by undergoing transtion surgery. When they inevitably start regretting their actions when they're older, they most likely won't be able to completely detransition back to how they used to be, seeing how permanently mutilating treatments can get (for eg chopping off your peepee). Their mental health worsens, they get depressed, suicidality increases etc.

And much more.

Not to mention its hard to differentiate between the real people suffering from dysphoria and perverts/people who have autogynephilia and get off to being treated like a woman. Do you really want a society where a man can just say he's a woman to excuse his going to the female potty? Do you really want to abolish gendered bathrooms? Don't you see the problem with that? Is that someone you would feel safe having your children around? I mean holy shit go look at /r/autogynephilia or /r/askagp . Some of them are so lost in the sauce of their sexual fantasies they've convinced themselves they are women and transitioned.

When making policy changes, you must think about the consequences, and I don't think you guys fully comprehend the societal, cultural and moral consequences and domino effects such policies will bring to Singapore. I hate to say this, but we need to think of the kids.
