I think this is from the video where someone created Flappy Bird using ChatGPT. There are a few videos that keep getting posted as the defacto proof that gamedevs are getting replaced.

I thought that AI would be beneficial to game devs. I mean I'm a codecel and could program a game, but I have no clue how to paint and I'm too bored to write proper dialogue / descriptions. I thought about using AI art for things like character portraits / background images and use ChatGPT for conversations.

I have this stable diffusion post saved which shows what I am thinking about.

AI would be perfect for something like Monster Girl Quest, where the actual game takes little time to code but all the monster girl assets (heh) and coombait scenes take ages to draw up.

Even an r-slur like me could make up a visual novel now.
