I wonder what their endgame is.

Coincidentally, imgur's cut off date is almost 3 years to the day gfycat officially banned nsfw content. Gfycat had made redgifs in late 2019 and then pulled the switch in may 2020. Wiki says redgifs was sold off to some other company. Also in May 2020 Facebook purchased giphy for a couple hundred million. But they got cucked by the bong regulators and were forced to sell it. Snapchat had been looking to acquire giphy too, but Facebook outbid them so Snap purchased gfycat instead. Now I don't know what's become of either giphy or gfycat. Lot's of doomposting in /r/Gfycat in recent months.

I don't know how these sites even enforce the no porn rule. 3 years later, it's still full of porn

But the subs doomposting are saying gfycat has basically been abandoned? Which I don't understand if snap purchased it? What was the point.

If imgur is trying to sell, who would even buy?

Edit: Oh imgur was already purchased by MediaLab in 2021. Idk what they're about.
