"We're running a small experiment globally that urges viewers with ad blockers enabled to allow ads on YouTube or try YouTube Premium," they said via email. "Ad blocker detection is not new, and other publishers regularly ask viewers to disable ad blockers."

alright a funny story for the slackers
i was at a family function and was installing newpipe on uncle's phone so we could play songs on aux without any interruption. so my foid cousin replied, witnessing that, she didn't need anything like that as she never faced ads on her youtube. since she had an iphone, i told her it must be the premium subscription as there was no other explanation. she denied to ever opting for it
and she's supposed to be in high paying tech security industry
