Techcucks recommend me a Mid-range android phone

Like up to 400$. My current phone broke and fixing it is too expensive id rather get a new one. I dont care about chinese spyware so it can also be OPPO or Xiaomi or whatever. For now i was thinking about Motorola G82 or Redmi Note 10 Pro but im still not sure. Drop some decent recommendations. Just not Huawei or some chinese brand i never heard about.

Google was really trying to push the Pixel this year so see if there are any deals for that. In the US they were giving people a ton of money for their old iphones if they switched to Pixel. I went and got a prepaid iphone for $200 and then traded it right in for $550 in credit which gave a new Pixel 7 and $50 on a giftcard.

Theres 2 bugs on the Pixel 7 Pro that Google hasn't figured out how to fix that causes me seethe despite it being out for 6 months now.

The inability to center a wallpaper and your WiFi slows down if you get near the router if you decided to try Pixel phones from a different company that Google still hasn't figured out how to replicate and fix.

Other than that, its an alright phone. Really don't like the auto-shut off after 5 minutes if you decide to go into a sauna with your phone though. Oh and sometimes the camera glass will inexplicably shatter if you go out into the cold from a warm house.

If you want a better home screen try Nova Launcher.

I am using Nova Launcher funnily. I actually even paid for it.

Its still goofy on the P7P. I just manually trimmed the wallpaper I wanted to use the the phone screen size because I got fed up with it.

Wallpaper issues on android are annoying for no apparent reason.

I just wanted a wallpaper that was identical on the home screen and lock screen. I was using Apex Launcher and some other launcher and the stock launcher and in all cases getting that setup was a total disaster.

You could get the same image on both but it would be slightly resized on one, a different position, just irritating. It totally didn't matter but I wanted it to literally be pixel perfect on both screens because it was a pixel-perfect wallpaper and it turned out to be basically impossible.

Oh, there were some occasions when you'd stumble across the right combination of luck, magic and guesswork that got it done right and then you'd find the lockscreen wallpaper would MOVE AFTER A SHUTDOWN

So irritating

That is weird.

I’m not an Androidcel rly but I run it on my reading S5e tablet. Pretty awesome with LineageOS.

Its mostly just Google Pixel team being bad at their jobs problem. If you hop onto the Pixel subreddit you can see people b-word about weird bugs.

There was one bug the other day that would cause your Pixels to overheat for no reason.

My favorite is the 911 bug, cream of the crop engineering there.
