Google Maps satellite imagery quality

This is something I've been noooticing for at least a couple years now but it's finally bothering me enough to post somewhere about it. Back in, oh, I dunno, 2017ish, google maps satellite imagery would load to the highest possible quality at a given zoom level within the desktop web page. Image quality would update every time you changed the zoom level.

This is no longer the case, and has been so for some time. This is incredibly annoying: I can no longer distinguish between buildings at zoom levels above those extremely close. Take this screenshot of Miami for example:

So blurry that it's useless.

Why did they do this? Is there a way around it? Is there alternative software? I swear to God it was not like this in the past. Please advise.

Iirc all the map software got a yuge drop in quality a few years ago after egypt or saudi trained a kamikaze UAV on google data. The GPS got worse after too, used to be precise within a few metres but now it's way worse.

The drone was used to bomb a fuel depot in libya or smth, the used plain google GPS for the primary guidance and satellite imagery image to visually ID the target once they were close. All off the shelf parts, too.

Someday I will have the necessary security clearance to access NRO/NGA :marseyoctopus3: satellite imagery, but in the meantime I need a functioning public provider. Perhaps I will ask him to open-source any other imagery he still has access to. :marseytrumpwereback:

The "Iron Man" movie is a trans analogy

Iron's periodic abbreviation = Fe, Man = male

Fe male. FEMALE. Iron Man is at first a movie about wearing the appearance of another s*x, but only as an alter ego, like a shameful crossdresser. He first dons a rudimentary Iron Man (fe male) suit when he emerges from a cave (an allegory for Plato's cave?). Stark must then fight cynical corporate exploiters who just want to use the power of being trans for social gain (weaponizing Iron Man suits = selling fe male cosmetics to new transsexuals). Tony beats the plot, and then, against all social standards, (s)he breaks with advice and declares that "I am Iron Man (fe male)" at the end of the film, fully embracing her female nature and unifying his old self with her new identity instead of shamefully hiding it.
