well the students would just copy down their AI written essay onto paper, it would be slightly more work for them but they still wouldn't need to use their brains

I kinda had this thought a while ago that we're gonna end up reverting off computers cuz of this shit. At some point (not soon) a bunch people will get sick of reading comments rewritten by bots on posts made by bots with pics made by bots, they'll stop putting personal thoughts and opinions out there because they just instantly get devoured to make better ads targeting them. At some point I think the costs of cyber security for stuff will outweigh benefits for some services that are currently online (assuming that I'm right about guarding against threats is harder than exploiting those threats I guess). Idk much about puters tho so wouldn't shock me if I'm wong

I have already seen someone revert to type writers for specific job duties, mostly legal paperwork. This person was old enough to have started on a type writer and they swore it's easier than dealing with all the BS of a computer.

Banning cell phones from places is already fairly normal. If it continues I could see people banning laptops for notepads and pencils as well.

I'm genuinely.shocked anyone agrees with me on this honestly, totally figured I'd be laughed at for thinking this. It was like the colonial pipeline shit that made me think eventually we'll have some specific usages of non-computerized stuff for security.

I think were reaching the saturation point. Too many simple jobs are being made overly complicated by tech and bad management that thinks tech will make people do their jobs. Eventually people will realize the savings from doing it the easy way and some things will revert.

I work in IT so i see a lot of this first hand. End users dont care until their routine has to change.
