what happened to Windows and why is it such shit now (rant post)

One of the first things I do on Windows 10 is turn off all notifications because there is literally nothing I ever want Windows to notify me about, they are basically just spam. Microsoft is now ignoring that and spamming me with notifications to "Join Microsoft Rewards!" every goddarn day and I can't figure out how to turn it off (I suspect it can't be turned off). More and more the software I use is no longer designed to be useful for me, it's designed to sell me something I don't want. It's getting to the point where I want to discretely modify a Komatsu bulldozer in my garage and go for a joyride in Minecraft.

Sorry for the rant I just fricking hate modern UX designers so fricking much.

always buy the pro version, it gets rid of a lot of this shit and you get to choose when to push windows updates

Still not perfect, don't get me wrong. But it helps get rid of a lot of the annoying shit
