So let me get this straight, the generally accepted opinion based on theoretical research in the field of sheldon cooper science was that whatever these gooks were amateurishly trying to create - simply said - impossible. Now that they have delivered a practical solution to a task that has been considered impossible for years by combining arbitrary arrangements of elements just for shits and giggles, theoretical physicists found a possible explanation for why this could possibly work ... in a week? IN A FRICKING WEEK?

This is pretty much material science in a nutshell :marseycrayoneater:

I love that they used supercoliders to just smash random particles together

Replace the copper with chromium because chromium is such a cool element

it's nice working with cheap stuff like copper, iron and cobalt because you feel less like an r-slur when you frick up

Chromium is slightly more expensive than copper anyway

P != NP

It's easier to verify a solution once the space has been vastly narrowed. This is exactly why experimentation is important in the first place.

There is probably no more single romantic example of the distance between 0 and 1 being infinitely greater than the distance between 1 and infinity than P = NP.

If only Archimedes had come up with a solution for this, we wouldn't still be standing in the dark thousands of years later. :marseygiveup:

Reminds me of a woman whose husband died and she had multiple mental breakdowns about leaving the iron on at home.

Someone recommended her to just keep the iron in the car, she did it and it pretty much fixed all the issues she had, psychologists and psychiatrists went BIG MAD because it's not how le science says you are supposed to do it.

This is how science works and why no one should 100% trust medicine. We have no idea why some medicine works the way it does. Half of science is just throwing shit in a cauldron and mixing like a witch laughing manically till something works.

Then change it to incredibly difficult to achieve, so that it borders on impossibility. And if you're still not happy with that then :marseyropeyourself:
