There are going to be lawsuits. I wasn't implying I think they'll win, but people are going to bring suits and say that pieces of their art appear in AI outputs and they want to be compensated for it. It's not going to be simple for the courts to figure out, either.

Yeah there will be lawsuits, but i don't see any way they can win. Ai backers have technology, capital and political capital(long history of bribery) on their side, there is no putting Ai genie back in the bottle.

The threat of constant litigation is the win. If it's cheaper to hire an artist than it is to hire a lawyer, the artcels have solved their problem.
