Nerd slap fight between Linus Cuck Tips and Gaymers Nexus

TLDR:

Linus gets a GPU cooler to review. He attaches it to the wrong GPU and then claims the cooler is shit when it doesn't perform well.

G*mer dude calls Linus out for being a cute twink.

Linus chucks and sneeds, claiming it wasn't his fault.

Proceeds to get btfo at every step by g*mer dude.

Important context to add here as I don't even see the regular G*mers nexus fans bringing this up in full detail.

The deeper motivation for Steve's hit piece aka dunking session on LTT dates back to their announcement of LTT Labs last year. LTT conventionally does not do good in-depth reviews like GN or HWU because the LTT fans by and large are too fricking r-slurred to appreciate the necessity of that.

G*mers Nexus announced in like 2020 or 2021 though they were building a whole comprehensive lab to up the ante of doing good high quality reviews and posted a lot of vlogs of its development, eg:

Basically LTT ripped the whole idea for his own lab straight from GN, so instead of being a fellow tech tuber, LTT made dramatic changes to his own channel and company in response to GN to set LTT up as a direct competitor for this audience. He has proceeded to try and dwarf GN, as LTT is a much larger operation and they threw a shit ton of money at it too in order to try and outspend Steve and set LTT up to look more advanced/comprehensive etc.

Steve has mostly avoided calling LTT out for this shit move

and has still always treated Linus well, in fact he was the first person to get ahold of Linus recently to let him know their channel had been hacked.

Anyway, the straw that broke the camels back was that shitty comment from someone at LTT's new lab featured at the start of the video. The guy basically said in nerd terms "we're better than those other hardware reviewers like GN or HardwareUnboxed" and lied about them not doing full equipment retests with every new benchmark or something. As soon as this comment landed in their backyard, it was open season for Tech Jesus to go r-slur hunting.

That's nice sweaty. Why don't you have a seat in the time out corner with Pizzashill until you calm down, then you can have your Capri Sun.

GBIPOCs are really r-slurred, I really didn't think there would be so many here :marseyeyeroll:

Basically LTT ripped the whole idea for his own lab straight from GN

No one has EVER done fan testing, cooler testing or PSU testing before GN. LTT STOLE their idea to test things in depth!!! It's not like Techpowerup or Tom's HW have in depth tests of fans, SSD's, PSU's, coolers etc. for years, GN owns the idea of testing computer hardware.

The guy basically said in nerd terms "we're better than those other hardware reviewers like GN or HardwareUnboxed" and lied about them not doing full equipment retests with every new benchmark or something.

He did not say they're better and he didn't lie - GN, HUB, in fact everyone reuses data. Two GN graphics card reviews, 4 months apart, first 6 columns are the exact same data (other data is also reused but it doesn't nicely line up side by side).

Reusing data is pretty normal, you retest every few months before major releases and then just add new cards into the mix. It was just a gimmicky way for the "Labs" to differentiate themselves from others.

right basically that's sort of what I was kind of fundamentally saying, essentially

HardwareUnboxed retests pretty frequently, not every time iirc, but pretty often.
