This actually seems like incredible news? So we just kill those bacteria and we cure alzeihmers?

>bacteria causes alzheimers

In the odd chance that youre just r-slurred and this isnt bait, alzheimers is your brain literally breaking as protein "railways" called tau begin to literally tangle themselves in knots while beta amyloid sheets misfold and turn into plaques (both of which causes other sheets to misfold and more tangles to form, and so on). We wont be able to cure alzheimers because the cure is literally "unfold paper and untangle wires."

So you are fricking saying that the fricking bacteria caused Alzheimer's in this circumstance but it doesn't cause it in all circumstances, right, b-word?

No it happens randomly and naturally on its own. Put into dramaspeak

>alzheimers is literally caused by brain derailing and crumpled paper

>amyloid plague hypothesis

Yeah.......that was debunked as fradulent after people realised the scans showing these formations were just photoshopped in 2006. Whoops :marseyderp: more grant money please :marseychemist2:

You don't understand what was false. It wasnt all beta amyloid just one type AB*56 that was faked. The more darning bits about beta amyloid hypothesis is that none of the clinical trials targeting it have worked.

:marseyagree: Correct!

My old college tutor was FUMING :marseydunkon: after the news broke. He keeps trying to promote replication studies in his dept. Always gets shutdown for """"priorities"""" ie. not sucking off Elsevier hard enough. :marseysal:

These are just symptoms/ nobody still knows what actually causes Alzheimer's.

The cure is "stop them tangling in the first place which they don't do normally and we have no fricking clue what makes them start".

Well if we fix the bacteria shit, can we prevent alzheimers? Or are you gonna be too busy sucking your own peepee to answer what is clearly part of the question?

There's been promising evidence where transplanting healthy bacteria into an individual as helped with certain disease/conditions (IBS), but there's still a lot we dont know about the gut microbiome especially in regards to the mechanisms of how it actually affects alzheimeirs. We still a long way out from solving it

I think the people who created the thing you said recently admitted to photoshopping things and it has no basis in reality

I know literally nothing about Alzheimers, but if moving the bacteria to a healthy host gives them Alzheimers, surely not having the bacteria would prevent it
