I saw the first AI book in my school's library when I was in 5th grade. All code examples where in Pascal, if my memory serves me.

I did a wiki search on Pascal the other day.

More than any other language I literally never hear it mentioned except in passing.

There are pockets of people using modern Pascal (Freepascal), it has found home in the world of 16/32 bit retro computing. In before times it was a full fledged language, people wrote entire systems in TurboPascal, plus, Delphi was a dialect of it, very popular in Windows/Business world. I myself never used it but I programmed in AmigaE that yanked some features/syntax out of it.

I don't even bother with the retro MS machine either, always preferred the other 8-bits. :marseyretro:

When I say 16/32 bit retro I mean Amiga/Atari/68k Macs/etc. I never used Windows.
