This is how to turn off Eric Andre startup jumpscare
Go to Opera installation folder, by default it should be at %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Programs\Opera GX, then go to folder 104.0.4944.74 and find opera_gx_splash.exe
Delete the executable file.
I'll be honest. I don't know the purpose of a browser having a starting splash is. On all my M1 Apple products opening any browser is basically instant. Is this what life is like on Microsoft products? Needing fancy graphics to hide loading inefficient software?
A single day has destroyed the entire community work
Just one day brah. Lol.
r/operagx is in shambles
r/firefox is hoping people will trade one shitty browser for the furfricker equivalent
This is apparently apart of a marketing campaign that started around a month ago.
In short for why everyone is mad
Please use a real browser like Brave or Vivaldi. Arc if you like doing things in weirdly specific ways and have an Apple. Safari if you're a homosexual (good king). None of this "I play games so I need a gaming browser!" soy trough eating bullshit.

funny enough just watched a Sseth vid where he was shilling the stupid browser. I mean, I get it grab the bag n all but all the features being advertised like
Who still believes that meme at this point? Since when has a chromium tab made your PC slow to a crawl if you didn't have at least 16GB of RAM or more?
Even then your apps use as much as they need and some like edge are smart enough to put tabs to sleep to save resources automatically. You don't need a bullshit GUI dial.
I used to think having a sound be played every time I closed a window was cool. Then I turned 13.
But seriously, who gives a shit about how customizable the theme of your browser is? Your browser UI is going to take up like <5% of your screen real estate on the top bar and you'll hardly ever look at it. You spend maybe a second on a new tab that might display a background before going to a website.

I've seen rdrama use more than 4gb of ram for less than 10 tabs

Zoomers
That browsers' success is rooted entirely in attracting zoomer audiences, which they do by sponsoring their favourite cntent crators 🤮 and relying on memes for advertisements. And at that point once it has caught the zoomer's attention, the actual specifics of the browser are irrelevant. As long as it sort of makes sense and sounds good, which 'limiting your ram' and having 'integrated functionality for g*mers' does, those kids will fall for the bait.
I am sure if Brave launched an advertisement campaign where instead of just saying that they block ads and save you traffic they did a
They'd have just as much success in that niche, cause zoomers don't care about functionality, only presentation
