This P.E.P will not solve the world's energy problems

:#marseyitsover:

Cool project, but it takes like a week to charge a AA battery

Really cool but I'm also guessing really inefficient

It is. More of a supplement to whatever you already use in unsuited land. This is only a dudes first attempt tho. I'd like to see someone else develop this further.

It's never :marseyitsover: going :marseysal3: anywhere. Even a 3ft turbine will barely power :marseyzeldaganondorf: an LED.

:marseycry: I've seen horizontal bladed drums mounted on roofs that seem fetch. Takes advantage of the wind pressure on sloped roofs

Yeah that's what I'm talking about. A single :marseywall: 3ft savonious rotor is next to useless. You need big butt turbines to get a usable amount of power.

That's a lot of piano and horn and bong accent for what amounts to a squirrelcage blower, in reverse.

I could see it being useful for something like, my mom has a shed in her yard that deer run into often. This could charge a battery to run a single LED to illuminate the shed.

But then again, so could solar.

Actual wind catcher

We wouldn't have to make gay little windcatchers if we went all in on nuclear

Jump in the discussion.

That's the biggest problem with green energy. It's all gay.

Yeah im sure you can really power a steel mill with these :marseyeyeroll:

Also, genociding birds is based :marseyowlgenocide:

interesting, I wonder if you could embed them all along the "blade" of grass and generate a lot more power. you could probably have the whole thing bend in the wind.

After a few hundred years, won't the only birds left be ones that instinctively avoid wind turbines? Will this problem just solve itself?
