Tech company is launching a product that uses A.I. to give poojeet scammers an american accent :marseyxd:

https://krisp.ai/accent-localization

From this blog post it seems that it's only for "Indian English accents" :marseysmug:

Accent Localization: localizes Indian English accents so that US-based customers hear US-neutral accents. This is done so that there is no perceived delay during the call and agents sound natural in their speech, tones and pitch.

Old Gam-Gam off put by that "exotic" sounding man on the phone?? Well no longer, you can kiss your inheritance goodbye forever.

Well that call about your car insurance sounds american so you don't hang up immediately, until you've wasted 20 minutes and realize the call is coming from Bangalore.

Reactions from a rightoid Twitter account, there is probably some drama here idk

This is kinda a loss all around I think. Because at the very least Indian scam call workers had a motivation to improve their English and all that but what's gonna be the point now??

ok... it's going to sound like :marseypajeet: with an american accent. Yeah the accent can be thick but the underlying problem is their english just isn't good. If they could fix the grammar, they literally wouldn't need the :marseypajeetitsover: to make the calls

Unironically I'll happily listen to a :marseytunaktunak: if they don't ask me not to redeem because I know they're probably on the level if they can speak properly

I really generally like :marseypajeet: i meet in america. I have loads of :marseypajeet: friends. dated a :marseypajeet: girl once. But call center :marseypajeet: trigger me :marseywitchtriggered: It's really not even their fault. They are just reading the tech support scripts or whatever but they don't actually know what they are reading and they read it so slow and mispronounce so much. Just thinking about it is like PTSD :marseyschizowave: of being forced to sit on the phone to reslove my problem, or more likely to escalate to a :marseysaluteindia: supervisor... Last year I just needed a static IP... It shouldn't take several calls to india to accomplish that. no one should suffer through a slow :marseypajeet: with a thick accent explaining the thing I am trying to buy three times after waiting nearly an hour :marseysoycrytremble: and then never actually put it into effect on my account

The poojets in the US are high caste, literally :marseyme: closer in DNA to Europeans than low caste poojets aka the scammers.
